(Summary Paragraph) Dr. David Minkoff (http://www.drminkoff.com) announces the Fall 2009 teleconferences in his “Aspects of Achieving Optimum Health” seminar series.

Clearwater, Fl — Dr. David Minkoff, (http://www.drminkoff.com) complementary medicine and alternative healthcare expert, announces his “Aspects of Achieving Optimum Health” seminar series for Fall 2009. These no-cost educational lectures are tailored to healthcare practitioners and are delivered nationally via a teleconference.

The first of these lectures is titled “Flu Myths and Realities” and will be delivered on October 14, 2009 at 12 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. During the call, Dr. Minkoff will separate fact from fiction and will explain the truth behind the myths that surround this controversial subject.

The second lecture is “Could Constipation be a Killer?” Dr. Minkoff says, “I recently delivered this lecture to members of the public and I was surprised how misunderstood this subject is, even among chronic constipation sufferers. I am delivering this lecture to help healthcare practitioners with any questions they may have about the short and long-term effects of inadequate bowel movements.” The lectures will be delivered on October 21 and November 11, 2009 at 12p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

The final lecture in the 2009 series covers the topic of the human body’s requirement for protein in a lecture titled, “Who Needs Protein?” Dr. Minkoff will describe the function of amino acids and explain why the majority of people are protein deficient, without knowing it. The lectures will be delivered on October 28 and November 18, 2009 at 12p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Dr. Minkoff defines optimum health as follows, “Optimum Health: A person whose body is in excellent condition, with plentiful energy and freedom from pain. The body of a person with optimum health should be able to deal with routine environmental stressors without breaking down, and should be able to recover quickly after physical insults. It should allow a person trouble-free performance so that he or she can enjoy the maximum lifespan of his or her genetic endowment.”

It is Dr. David I. Minkoff’s belief that optimum health can be achieved and his commitment to helping others live long productive lives that have motivated him to deliver his “Aspects of Achieving Optimum Health” lecture series. For more information and to attend this no-cost teleconference lecture call 877-804-3258.

(Summary Paragraph) – Dr. David Minkoff, (http://www.drminkoff.com) celebrates his best-ever Ironman result at Ironman Arizona, Tempe.

Clearwater, FL — Dr. David Minkoff, (http://www.drminkoff.com) alternative healthcare expert, educator and triathlete, completed his 36th Ironman race at Ironman Arizona, in Tempe, November 2009. Competing in a very strong 60-64 age-group, Dr. Minkoff achieved his best placing in an Ironman, claiming 7th place in a time of 12:48. Shaving 25 minutes off his previous marathon time, Dr. Minkoff attributes his fast pace to some words of advice from six-time Ironman World Champion, Dave Scott. “Dave told me to increase my speed on the run if I started to feel tired. I had never tried that before, but it worked!” he said.

Attracting competitors from around the world, Ironman Arizona is one of the last events on the 2009 triathlon calendar and is noted for its great atmosphere. However, the 63-degree water temperature made wet-suits a must for the opening leg of the race and Dr. David Minkoff was not alone in being offered medical assistance when he came out of the water, but he kept on going. “It took me ten minutes to get my socks on but after that the race was fine,” he said. “I will definitely race there again next year.”

Reflecting on his 36th race, Dr. Minkoff recalls the day when the sport was virtually unknown to him. In 1982, Dr. Minkoff watched the ABC sports coverage of the Hawaii Ironman race. He saw the dramatic finish of Julie Moss crawling across the finish line to claim second place. Her courage and determination were inspiring and Dr. Minkoff was hit by Ironman fever. The next morning, Dr. Minkoff found a used racing bike in the want ads, went to the nearby YMCA and joined the pool to start swim training. Eight months later he was at the starting line in Kona, Hawaii, at the Ironman World
Championship, and during his run, he recalls seeing Dave Scott crossing the finish line to claim his second world title.

Ironman races are known as the elite and toughest of all triathlon races. Triathlons themselves are grueling and a full Ironman consists of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run. It takes a very special kind of athlete to become involved in the sport and most find it compelling. As Dr. Minkoff says, “I like the lifestyle and the training. I like having my body feel fit, in shape and healthy. I love the challenge of pushing myself to do my best.”

Dr. Minkoff spends some of his time as an educator of his fellow athletes, addressing their questions about nutrition. In fact, a segment of the clinic he founded, LifeWorks Wellness Center (http://www.lifeworkswellnesscenter.com), specializes in sports nutrition. The clinic works with some of the top professional cyclists, NASCAR drivers, baseball players, football players, triathletes, and motor-cross racers, with great success.

To reach his current record of 36 Ironman races, Dr. Minkoff competes in full Ironman races once or twice a year and a couple half Ironman and Olympic distance Triathlons a couple of times a year.

David I. Minkoff M.D. currently devotes time to research and writing, including two weekly newsletters, The Optimum Health Report and The BodyHealth Fitness Newsletter. For more information about Dr. David Minkoff and to read more of his work visit http://www.drminkoff.com.

(Summary Paragraph) Dr. David Minkoff (http://www.drminkoff.com) received a great boost to his racing confidence after securing second place in his age-group at The Intimidator, a half Ironman held near Orlando, FL.

Clearwater, FL — Dr. David Minkoff, (http://www.drminkoff.com) achieved a very creditable second place in a competitive field at The Intimidator, a hot and hilly half Ironman held in Clermont, near Orlando FL. Having led the swim and bike portions of the race in the 60-64 age-group, he was only passed on the final run stage and finished in a time of 6:35.

The result will serve as a great confidence booster to Dr. Minkoff as he prepares for his next challenge, Ironman, Tempe, AZ on November 22, 2009. As a 35-time Ironman finisher he is no stranger to the task ahead. Dr. Minkoff explains, “To finish a grueling Ironman course is a true test of endurance requiring a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride and a 26.2-mile run.”

Dr. Minkoff was inspired to begin his racing career when his father suffered a heart attack at age 58. He decided to start running and in 1974 he completed his first marathon. Then in 1982, he saw the heartbreaking TV pictures of triathlete Julie Moss as she crawled on her hands and knees over the finish line at the Ironman World Championship in Kona. Inspired by her gutsy determination, Dr. Minkoff decided that he would become a triathlete and the next day, he bought a bike and joined the YMCA.

Later that same year, Dr. Minkoff was on the starting line at Kona and seven miles into the run, he saw his racing idol, 6-Time Ironman World Champion Dave Scott cross the finish line to claim his second title. Coming full circle, Dave Scott is now a member of Team BodyHealth and spokesperson for its
product, Master Amino Acid Pattern (MAP).

Dr. David Minkoff founded BodyHealth.com (http://www.BodyHealth.com) in 2000 to provide doctors and the public with the access to products which can improve the body’s condition and his own interest in triathlons enables him to help athletes achieve optimum conditioning. Dr. Minkoff’s expertise in protein synthesis, detoxification, and nutrition allow them to run, swim, and bike faster and longer.

BodyHealth.com also sponsors a number of triathletes and two of the Team BodyHealth (http://www.bodyhealth.com/html/biobuilde/team-biobuilde.asp) Members, Cherie Gruenfeld and Kevin Moats will compete in the Ford Ironman World Championships in Kona on October 10. Both are previous winners of the most coveted title in the sport – Ironman World Champion and Dr. Minkoff predicts victory for both of them again. “Both Cherie and Kevin are currently in great form and I expect to see them win their age-groups,” he says.

Dr. Minkoff defines optimum health as follows, “Optimum Health: A person whose body is in excellent condition, with plentiful energy and freedom from pain. At that time, his wife became sick with an illness no physician could diagnose. Not accepting an uncertain prognosis, Dr. Minkoff went on a search to help her that led him out of emergency medicine into alternative medicine. As a result of his advanced studies, his wife is now in good health and enjoying racing in triathlons.

(Summary paragraph) Intestinal cleanse (http://www.bodyhealth.com/html/bic/) product reviewed by Dr. David Minkoff (http://www.drdavidminkoff.com) for those interested in herbal laxatives and easy stools at least twice a day.

Clearwater, FL – Intestinal cleanse (http://www.bodyhealth.com/html/bic) interest is on the rise as an estimated 30 million Americans suffer from difficult stools or no regularity.

Dr. David Minkoff (http://www.drdavidminkoff.com) delivers public, no-cost lectures on gastrointestinal complaints which include information on non-functioning intestines, natural herbal laxatives and intestinal cleansing.

People who don‟t have 1-2 easy bowel movements a day typically complain of mental fog, no energy and feeling sluggish or bloated. This can be the result of toxins in the intestines not being eliminated and as they remain there and more are added, they get backed up into the liver, and then the bloodstream, and end up being reabsorbed by the body. This can be a precursor to colon cancer which is so prevalent in the U.S.

“By supplementing with nutrient herbs one can improve the whole digestive tract function and health. By improving the health and function of the stomach, small intestine, colon, liver and gall bladder, one can reduce the factors often causing gastrointestinal complaints,” explains Dr. David Minkoff, MD an alternative medicine expert, and co founder of BodyHealth.com “BodyHealth Intestinal Cleanse (http://www.bodyhealth.com/html/bic/) is a natural product containing 16 herbs, minerals, and intestinal flora to assist in maintaining healthy bowels,” continues Dr. Minkoff. “These capsules can be taken as needed to improve bowel function. Many people find this product terrific in helping them stay regular or for the occasional time when they feel stopped up. The results are gentle and usually occur within 12-24 hours. It‟s wise to keep a bottle on hand for when you need it, or when traveling and your body may go out of sync for a few days. The product contains such high quality nutrients that I added it to list of survival product offered by BodyHealth.com.” concludes Dr. Minkoff.

Additionally, Dr. Minkoff suggests eating organic foods as much as possible, drinking lots of pure water, and eliminating sugar and flour from the diet.

(Summary Paragraph) Dr. David Minkoff MD, (http://www.drminkoff.com), initiates a health stimulus program titled “Health by Numbers”, that provides free tests designed to help relieve health worries over getting cancer, diabetes, heart disease, or other debilitating diseases, in these tough economic times.

Clearwater, Fl – Dr. David Minkoff, MD, (http://www.drminkoff.com) an alternative health care expert, initiates “Health by Numbers”, a health stimulus program that provides free tests designed to help relieve health worries in these tough economic times when no one can afford to be sick. The “Health by Numbers” program provides participants with detailed data on their current state of health, evaluates initial information to see if they may be at risk of developing a debilitating disease such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, or have another declining health issue, and provides advice and guidance about ways to improve their health. The first clinic to offer the program is LifeWorks Wellness Center (http://www.lifeworkswellnesscenter.com) in Clearwater, FL where Dr. Minkoff is the Medical Director and co-founder.

“The initial tests in the program are free. When the tests are completed, a qualified health care practitioner reviews the tests with the patient, explaining the meaning of each number, going over areas of risk or potential risk,” explains Dr. David Minkoff. “We have caught many areas of risk or potential risk that can easily be resolved before a more serious illness occurs that results in work loss and reduced income.”

Patients doing “Health by Numbers” are met by a LifeWorks healthcare practitioner, who will guide them through the 12-week program. On the initial visit, a series of free simple tests are conducted which focus on the 10 vital numbers that provide a detailed picture of a person’s health; weight, body fat, visceral fat, muscle mass, water, bone mass, basal metabolic rate, physique rating, metabolic age and antioxidant level.

During the first week’s visit, the healthcare practitioner reviews the “Health by Numbers” tests results and where needed, explains how the numbers shown can be early indicators of serious future health problems or where serious conditions may exist. Based on the test results, a program is recommended to improve the health numbers and these numbers are monitored throughout the 12-week program. Established March 2004, it offers health and fitness information including secret tips from winning athletes.

Clearwater, FL – Dr. David Minkoff, MD (http://www.drminkoff.com), alternative healthcare expert, triathlete and 35-time Ironman, launches the 6th year of his BodyHealth Newsletter. First published as an online newsletter in March 2004, The BodyHealth Newsletter brings timely and useful health and fitness information to its thousands of readers. In addition to Dr. David Minkoff, Dave Scott, 6-time Ironman World Champion, is a major contributor to the publication along with other Team BodyHealth athletes (http://www.bodyhealth.com/html/biobuilde/bhn_1_7_09.asp).

The spring of 2004 found Dr. Minkoff, MD, a complementary and alternative healthcare expert, guest lecturer, writer, and triathlete, preparing for his first Ironman race of the year. Additionally, he was bombarded by questions and emails from other triathletes, athletes and the general public asking him questions about fitness, training, nutrition, supplements and specifically how to increase speed, power, endurance and recovery.

Many were complaining of post workout soreness, long recovery times and training to the point of getting sick. He wanted to answer each question personally but the volumes had become prohibitive, so he created the online BodyHealth newsletter.

The BodyHealth newsletter became the platform for Dr. David Minkoff to answer all the fitness questions he was getting. Dave Scott, world renowned coach and the first Ironman World Champion to be inducted into the Ironman Hall of Fame, joined Dr. Minkoff providing articles, and answering reader questions about training and nutrition.Team BodyHealth members, sponsored by BodyHealth.com Inc also provide articles and reveal some of their training secrets.

“Health is not a static state,” says Dr. Minkoff, “it is determined by the daily lifestyle choices you make and the inherited strengths and weaknesses of your body. All individuals have their own unique optimum health for their body. This optimum state is a condition that can be measured by both objective and subjective indicators. This especially applies to the athlete who wishes to improve his fitness and his race times.”

In addition to writing journal articles and speaking engagements, Dr. Minkoff writes the BodyHealth Newsletter to empower individuals about their health and fitness.

(Summary Paragraph) Dr. David I. Minkoff MD (http://www.drminkoff.com), reveals the three actions of Body Detox™ that help the body handle its daily battle with environmental toxins in his March 2009 lecture series “Aspects of Achieving Optimum Health”.

Clearwater, Fl – Dr. David I. Minkoff MD (http://www.drminkoff.com), complementary and alternative medicine healthcare practitioner and educator, will reveal, in detail, the three actions of Body Detox ™ that help the body handle its daily onslaught of environmental toxins in his March 2009 lecture series “Aspects of Achieving Optimum Health”. The lecture, titled “How to Diagnose a Metal Toxic Patients and Protocols to
Handle”, will be in teleconference format on Wednesday, March 11th

There is an increasing awareness that the amount of toxins in our environment is mammoth especially compared to 100 years ago. We know that 70,000 chemicals have been added to the environment in the last 20 years. These have not been tested for carcinogens or other toxic effect, yet we experience them all the time in our food, air and water which contain petrochemicals, herbicides, pesticides and the list goes on.

To stay healthy a person must be able to get toxins out as fast as they come in. This means one needs to have good urination, bowel movement, be able to sweat and move air in and out of his lungs. If a person can get the toxins out as fast as they come in, that person has a chance at staying healthy.

Unfortunately, what happens to most people is that toxins come in faster than they can come out. They start to accumulate in the body’s the fat tissue, in the joints, and in the brain. A lot of these toxins called lipophilic are like fat and so they accumulate in fat areas.

“The body needs help in order to get these toxins out. One of the best ways to get these toxins out and to help the body is a product we formulated some years ago called Body Detox.,” lectures Dr. David I. Minkoff. “Body Detox contains peptides, which are short chain proteins. These proteins bind to chemicals, pesticides, toxins and heavy metals, and assist the body so they can come out through the stool, the hair and the sweat.”

“An easy to take oral spray, Body Detox takes three actions. It helps to get these toxins out, it helps the body build the intestinal wall, and it’s a mild immune stimulator so it aids the immune system,” reveals Dr. Minkoff. “People who take it on a regular basis experience good changes, with improvements in energy and clarity of thinking.”In this environment it is recommended that people get help for the body so it can get the toxins out faster than they are coming in and have a chance at being healthy.

It is from Dr. David I. Minkoff’s belief that optimum health can be achieved and his commitment to helping others live long productive lives that have motivated him to deliver his “Aspects of Achieving Optimum Health” lecture series. For more information and to attend this no-cost teleconference lecture call 1-877-804-3258.

Dr. David I. Minkoff also currently devotes time to writing and research. The book he is writing, “How To Live To 120 and Feel Like 35,” explores the difference between chronological age and biological age and explains the steps one can take to lengthen his/her lifespan while retaining feelings of youth, energy, vitality, and health in his/herbody.

(Summary Paragraph) – Dr. David Minkoff, M.D. (http://www.drminkoff.com) completes his 35th Ironman race at Ironman Arizona, Tempe.

Clearwater, FL — Dr. David Minkoff, M.D. (http://www.drminkoff.com) alternative healthcare expert, educator and triathlete, completed his 35th Ironman race at the full Ironman Arizona, in Tempe, November 2008. Over 2100 competitors from all over the world raced at Ironman Arizona where Dr. Minkoff finished in the top ten of his age group 60-64. To reach this outstanding and difficult goal, Dr. Minkoff has completed Ironman races in Hawaii, California, Florida, Arizona, Canada and New Zealand.

Ironman races are known as the elite and toughest of all triathlon races. Triathlons themselves are grueling and a full Ironman consists of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run.

For Dr. David Minkoff, it started in 1974, while doing his Residency in San Diego. He caught the marathon bug after American Frank Shorter won the gold medal in the marathon at the Munich Olympics.

Then in February 1982, Dr. Minkoff and a close friend who was an investment manager were watching ABC sports coverage of the Hawaii Ironman race. They saw the dramatic finish of Julie Moss crawling across the finish line to claim second place. Her courage and determination were inspiring and Dr. Minkoff and his friend both decided they wanted to be triathletes.

But who had the time to train and do this? With three young children at home and just starting his medical practice it didn‟t seem realistic. His investment friend said, “Give me all your money and I will invest it for you and in five years we‟ll both retire and we can do this.” But that night Dr. Minkoff couldn‟t sleep. He kept thinking that he couldn‟t wait for five years. Ironman fever was in him. The next morning, Dr. Minkoff found a used racing bike in the want ads, went to the nearby YMCA and joined the pool to start swim training.

Eight months later he was at the starting line in Kona, Hawaii, at the Ironman World Championship, to compete in his first of 35 Ironman races.“It was a very hard race, and in middle of the marathon, I thought, ‘I never want to do this again.’ Then, somehow the next day it didn‟t seem so bad. And by the time I was on the plane going home, I was ready to come back the next year and improve my time. That zeal has never left me to this day,” enthuses Dr. Minkoff.

“I like the lifestyle and the training. I like having my body feel fit, in shape and healthy. I love the challenge of pushing myself to do my best.”

To the question of how he does it, Dr. Minkoff explains, “Being fit means good nutrition and taking care of yourself. The aging body requires optimum nutrition to continue to perform at its best and the most important part of that nutrition is getting a quality protein. I count on Master Amino Acid Pattern (http://www.bodyhealth.com) to do that and have for the last 5 years. It has served me well.”

There is a lot of confusion among athletes regarding nutrition that Dr. Minkoff addresses as an educator. It was also a natural progression that a segment of theclinic he founded, LifeWorks Wellness Center (http://www.lifeworkswellnesscenter.com), specializes in sports nutrition. The clinic works with some of the top professional cyclists, NASCAR drivers, baseball players, football players, triathletes, and motor-cross racers, with great success.

To reach his current record of 35 Ironman races, Dr. Minkoff competes in full Ironman races one-three times a year and a ½ Ironman or Olympic distance Ironman a couple of times a year. And it‟s not over – his 2009 schedule is already set.

Dr. David Minkoff also currently devotes time to writing and research. The book he is writing, “How To Live To 120 and Feel Like 35,” explores the difference between chronological age and biological age and explains the steps one can take to lengthen his/her lifespan while retaining feelings of youth, energy, vitality, and health in his/her body. The book is intended to be a handbook for the body. For more information about Dr. David Minkoff and to read more of his work visit http://www.drminkoff.com.
